US University Coach to join Golf Australia
 University of Minnesota golf coach Brad James has been appointed as high performance director of Golf Australia and the Australian Institute of Sport.
He will oversee the men’s and women’s national teams and also be responsible for developing Australia’s young talent.
Brad James has served as the Minnesota men’s coach since 2001 and has presided over both the men’s and women’s teams as the university’s director of golf for the past 2 1/2 seasons.
He guided the men’s team to the 2002 U.S. college championship and has four U.S. college finals appearances on his resume.
The plan is for James to finish out the school year and take up his appointment in Melbourne mid-2010.

Getting a Game Gets a lot Easier
Golf Australia and iseekgolf.com have rolled out what is to be Australia’s truely national real time golf booking system, which will enable social golfers to book a round online at golf courses anywhere in Australia
Under the partnership iseekgolf.com will provide the technology and management services, while Golf Australia will encourage golf courses, right through out Australia to become involved and to come on-line.
It will take a while to come to fruition but the potential for the average golfer is enormous. No chasing around on the telephone looking for a course; no turning up at a course only to be told 'No times available.' More... |

Making the right changes.
There was a fair bit of skepticism when Golf Australia took over the reigns of managing golf in Australia. But, to date, they certainly seem to be doing a job; encouraging the various State bodies to work together and getting things done to the advantage of the everyday Joe/Jill like you and me. More...

Golf Australia have announced the Australian team for the 2009 Asia Pacific Teams Championship to be held from September 15-18 2009 at Namseoul Country Club in Seoul , Korea .
The Australian team is Daniel Beckmann (VIC), Matt Jager (WA - Pictured), Bryden Macpherson (VIC) and Jordan Sherratt (SA).
