As a Foundation Member, membership #47, and further to my post back in July, I'm pleased to report the World's Longest Golf Course is officially open.
Nullarbor Links, which was officially opened on Sunday, is the brand new 18-hole par 72 golf course in the Australian outback. At nearly 850 miles long it spans across two states, from Kalgoorlie in West Australia to Ceduna in South Australia. So forget the golf cart and make sure your car is full of gas More... |

Royal Melbourne is tops!

Royal Melbourne is Australia’s number one golf course again, according to the US publication, Golf Magazine, who has just published their listing of the top 100 golf courses in the world. Rated at #14 of the top 100, Royal Melbourne leads out from Kingston Heath (#27), a worthy contender who in November will stage this year’s The Masters with Tiger Woods as a star attraction. A report on CNN says that the construction of the first golf course designed by Tiger Woods, currently being built on the outskirts of Dubai, has been hit by delays and that the opening of the Al Ruwaya course, due to be ready by September, will now not take place until at least April 2010. More...

The Longest Golf Course in the World

I’ve often complained about golf courses that require you to walk half a mile between holes. I promise I’ll never complain again. The World’s longest golf course, the much anticipated 1,365 kilometre long Nullarbour Links Golf Course, while not officially open yet, is playable from this month. The Official opening of the 18 hole par 72 course is in October. More...
