Golf’s Sacred Journey.
I’ve got to admit when I received a review copy of the book “Golf’s Sacred Journey” by David Cook Ph D, I was a bit put off by the title. But, being in hospital, reading would help pass the time.
Once started I found it hard to put the book down.
David Cook takes a unique approach on how to master your golf game, based on the thousands of athletes the he has counseled and the great mentors and teachers from whom he has learned. As Zig Ziglar says in the introduction ….
“.. an entirely different approach on how to excel in your golf game.”
The sub title is “Seven Days at the Links of Utopia”
Utopia is a real place nestled away in the foot hills of Texas.
It has a golf course and a grave yard.
David Cook puts his 28 years of ‘Peak Performance Coaching’ into a story of two fictional characters; a very ordinary, yet extraordinary man with wonderful insight and a young pro golfer who had just about given up on everything …golf included.
The Foreword is by Tom Lehman. Endorsements include Scott Simpson – US Open 1987, Larry Mize – Masters 1987 and Aaron Baddeley.
I enjoyed the read. I’m going to try face on putting too!
